There is no distance I wouldn't go for beer.

Last week we ventured down south to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, to visit one of my favorite and most respected microbreweries (craft breweries as they are referred to in the States) Dogfish Head.

If you are already into microbrews then I don’t need to further elaborate but for those of you who may be new to the world of beer check out their website link above. They not only make some of the most creative beers out there but their corporate culture is way ahead of their time.

We took a 9 hour drive down route I-87, passing New York City on the way.  It was a long drive but I was on a mission to visit the place where Sam Calagione started it all.

Our motel was ten steps away from the brewpub which allowed us to take full advantage of our time in Rehoboth Beach by having lunch, super, and evening drinks there.

Learning the story behind each different beer was simply amazing. It is undeniable the amount of creativity and thought Sam and the DogFish Head team brew up. It is this type of creativity that keeps the world of beer on it's toes.

Thanks for checking out my first post and be sure to check back for our next post on the brewery tour.

Cheers!
